William Walter Wornham 1874 - 1919

William Walter Wornham Married Margaret Trimble at Woollahra in 1913. He had set up a painting and decorating business in Rose Bay by 1915.





William Wornham is listed in the local Sands Surburban Directories for 1915 to 1919 with
premises in New South Head Road and a home address at 33 Dover Road Rose Bay.
The map above show the approx area of his premises which were located between
Newcastle and Norwich streets.



1919 Death of William Walter Wornham
William died we believe of TB in 1919. He was survived by his wife Margaret and
their only child, a daughter named Ina Isobel Margaret Wornham.



1936 Ina Wornham Rose Bay



Following William's death their daughter remained living in Rose Bay. The above
Electoral Register from 1936 shows Ina living at 35 Dover Road.
Her occupation is shown as stenographer.

She had moved next door to her parents original bungalow at 33. Both properties are
shown present day below with 35 on the left.Her mother is shown at this time as a
matron at Masonic Schools, Baulkham Hills.




1940 Marriage Ina Wornham

In 1940 Ina Isobel Margaret Wornham married Thomas Lionel Holliday at Woollahra.
He was the son of Lionel Brook Holliday of Copgrove Hall Burton Leonard, Harrogate,
Yorkshire, England.

The 1949 Electoral Register extract below shows Ina and her husband living at
9 Milner Crescent Wollstoncraft, Sydney. Also living there is Ina's Mother
Margaret Wornham.






The old newspaper advert below from 1925 shows details of the property at
9 Milner Crescent when it was being auctioned. We believe the property has since
been redeveloped.




1962 Death of Thomas Lionel Holliday
Ina's husband Thomas died aged just 52 in 1962, The family at this time consisted
of Ina, and her children Robert John Holliday, Ann Margaret Holliday and
Thomas Read Holliday.Their son Charles died young in 1952.
